DONATE TO THE 2026 ANNUAL FUND
SCDT has brought transformative movement and performance experiences to western Massachusetts since 2015, thanks to support from you - our community!

SCDT activates imagination and  fosters empowerment, transformation, and personal development through dance. Serving as an arts  hub, the organization connects the public, university communities, and regional partners through  classes, performances, residencies, and public conversations that invigorate community engagement.

Hatchery offers space for young artists to train, create, and perform in a non-traditional, collaborative setting. Teens are also introduced to the professional dance world by working closely with internationally acclaimed guest artists, gaining mentorship, artistic confidence, and real-world experience. Hatchery is grounded in values of inclusivity, creativity, curiosity and collaboration, and prioritizes access through scholarships and affordability initiatives so that financial barriers do not limit participation.

Tuition and performance revenue only covers part of our costs. We need your help to continue offering programs like The Hatchery Young Artist Project, to provide venues for experimental performances and early stage works-in-progress, and to present internationally acclaimed artists.

Your support enables not just our Hatchery Young Artist Program, but also:
  • HUT - presenting internationally renowned artists in movement, words, and sound;
  • WIP  (Works in Progress) - supporting early-stage creative development;
  • RIFF Talks - public conversations on  artistic process;
  • And special workshops and residencies.

We are grateful for your generosity!

Thank You!
Jen Polins, Artistic Director
Bill Kules, Executive Director
