SPACE GRANT RESIDENCY

The School for Contemporary Dance and Thought ( SCDT ) is excited to announce the SCDT Space Grant for Summer 2026. 

What SCDT is providing:
FREE Rehearsal Space in the Workroom at 33 Hawley St., Northampton, MA from June 8-12, 2026. Space is open from 9am-3pm for your rehearsal time.

Opportunities for community engagement via workshop, lecture, or performance on a return trip, Fall 2026 (exact dates TBD between SCDT and chosen applicant).

Leah Fournier (she/her) is a dancer and dance maker living in New York. Leah has performed with artists including Kim Brandt, Lenio Kaklea, Barbie Diewald, Jen Polins, Angie Hauser, Chris Aiken, Vanessa Anspaugh, and Amelia Heintzelman, and she is currently in process with Juli Brandano, Julia Antinozzi, and Maho Ogawa. Her research has been supported by residencies including Centre Pompadour, The Croft, Atland, and MOtiVE Brooklyn, and she has received long term project support from the School for Contemporary Dance & Thought. Her collaborative choreographic work has been presented at Pageant, Movement Research at the Judson Church, the Asia Society, and Fresh Festival (CA), and Offerings at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Times Square, among others.
