WORKSHOP:
Ayurveda translates as the science of life.
Science is the study of living.
Dance is an expression of those who live.
This 9 class Study Group is a collaboration between dance artist and teacher K.J. Holmes and neuroscientist and dance researcher Hossein Aleyasin. Each class will focus on and utilize as a source for dance a specific dhatu, or element/tissue of the body, through experiential study of anatomy, eastern and western theories, and movement principles. The classes will be both laboratory and creative studio.
Students must take the full workshop as the material will develop each week.
Open to all levels of experience.

K.J. HOLMES
K.J. Holmes is a dance artist and teacher who has been an avid student, practitioner and maker of dance, theater, voice, somatics, yoga, Ayurveda+ for decades and currently teaches remotely through SCDT, Movement Research and NYU/Experimental Theater Wing. kjholmes.info
