Call for Proposals: WIP Spring 2020
WIP is a works-in-progress performance series at SCDT, created to open dialogue between local and visiting artists, and to share dance works in the early stages of the creative process. WIP provides a forum to investigate ideas without the pressures or financial strains of production, shifting emphasis to the creative act before the final product. WIP is an effort to create an ethos of generosity, vulnerability and unknowing here in the Pioneer Valley. The curatorial team choosing WIP choreographers is composed of fellow dance artists located in the Pioneer Valley. We are looking to create performances showcasing a diverse range of established and emerging artists, as well as those local to the valley and beyond. Students are eligible to apply, but priority will be given to artists who are not currently enrolled in a degree-granting program. Preference will also be given to those who have not yet shown in the WIP series. We ask that works presented in WIP do not exceed 15 minutes. |
