MARCH 28, 2020 - YOUTH CLASSES UPDATE
Dear Families,
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have moved our youth classes online AND we are extending the Spring Session to June 12th!
Youth Hip Hop, Youth Dance Techniques, and Creative Process/Dance Making will all continue with a combination of recorded video warm ups and live Zoom meetings. If you have questions or would like to join a class, please email us at [email protected]. Tuition rates will be prorated.
In addition to our regularly programmed classes, we are offering a NEW online class led by Sofia Engelman!
MONDAYS 4:30-5:30PM. Online via Zoom.
"This hour-long movement class consists of a Modern Dance warm up followed by a choreography lab. We will improvise, practice essential skills for Modern Dance technique, and make our own short dances. This dance class is an opportunity for curious movers to apply skills of critical thinking and composition to technical practice all from the comfort of each student's own home. We will lay on the ground, we will spin, and we will duet with our couches!"
The class will start on April 6th and run through June 12th. REGISTER HERE!
NEW STUDENTS:
• If you would like to join us for the remainder of the Spring Session, starting April 6 and ending June 12, the cost is $145.
• If you would like to try a class for a four-week trial, for the month of April, the cost is $60. Students who decide to continue on through the rest of the session will have their tuition applied to the remainder of the session fee.
You may register for classes online HERE!

Dear Dance Community,
SCDT is paying close attention to the news regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.
The MA Department of Public Health is still saying there is a low risk of infection in MA. At this point, OUR DOORS ARE OPEN.
What we are doing:
• We are closely monitoring official guidance from local government and health authorities to support health and well being of our community. We will be checking in day by day for updates, so if anything changes, we will let you know.
• We are encouraging staff, faculty, students, and the greater dance community to please stay home if they feel ill.
• In addition to wiping down all lobby and waiting areas and touchable surfaces daily, we are cleaning the studio four times per week and have hired professional cleaners to help with a deeper cleaning.
• We are making sure all dancers wash their hands during their time in the studio.
• Antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer are available in studios, restrooms, and waiting areas.
Again, PLEASE stay at home and seek medical help if you present symptoms.
Be conscious of the space you are using: please clean up after yourselves if you are renting the space.
Contact us at [email protected] or Jen Polins directly at [email protected] with any questions and concerns.
Thank you for all you do with and for SCDT.
Jen and the SCDT Team
